Koowho TSR Rack

I first discovered Koowho from Japan, when I saw a fellow Moultoneer with a beautiful day rack on his APB.

Now they have done it again, with this gorgeous rear rack for the TSR.

It's made from aluminium, and you have a choice of polished or painted. It's pretty pricey, even before you add in shipping from Japan and customs. But if you gotta have it, you gotta have it 🙂

There's also a front rack.

  1. The new wide TSR rack looks like a major step foward. I have always like the wide racks on Moulton bicycles and have been disappointed that Pashley seems to have decided to abandon them. However, I wonder if it is as strong as the strut supported rack on the APB and the AM?

  2. I expect that the 2 struts in new rack make it more rigid and stable in most areas. However, the only question that I have is whether it has a negative impact on the seat tube. Of course the new rack isn’t as versatile as the old platform rack either.

  3. This wide large rack does look lovely. I am not sure about the seat tube problem, but I find it hard to imagine that it could withstand the large carry loads of the bottom strut supported APB and AM wide racks. Another problem with this new rack is that the large APB bag that was made by Pashley fits over the upward slanted section of the rack. The supports coming off the seat tube on the new TSR aluminium rack would make these bags obsolete. I wish Pashley had not abandoned the wide rack format. I will be interested to what kind of bag can be designed for this new TSR aluminium rack.

  4. One Moultoneer friend uses a fruit of box on his APB platform rack to carry all sorts of items around town. It’s very practical, cheap and replaceable. He sees the lack of a wide platform rack as a reason to not buy a TSR.

  5. You could try contacting Koowho directly, but I have ordered Koowho products from Dynavector. Send an email to jiro at dynavector dot co dot jp

  6. They are looking great. Fitting perfect. Briliant quatity.
The alu rack from japan is gives the bike more elegance than the pashley rack. (i have one in grey the early one).
Thank you for the advice. With Jiro from dynavector it took three emails it worked perfect.
Now I’m wondering where I get a fitting bags. Jiro get same, but they are out of stock till next spring.
