Alex Moulton Memorial Weekend ~ 7th & 8th April 2018

The 2018 Alex Moulton Memorial Weekend on Saturday 7th April at The Moulton Bicycle Company, Bradford–on-Avon was well attended despite a damp start. The rain cleared up during the morning and the sun decided to put in  a weak appearance a few times.

We had over 50 attending, with 2 new members joining the Club at the gate entry, 1 membership renewal and 2 takers for the Weekend Membership Pass.  Hopefully, the ambience of the event and the spirit of fellowship between Moultoneers will persuade the weekend members to join the Club for the full year.

Moulton Bicycle Company were selling a very wide range of parts from their Showroom. It was a weather-proof treasure trove!  There were also a few sellers who had Moultonalia for sale. A few more sellers would have been welcome. Maybe the poor weather forecast put them off.

Club Secretary Mark Taylor and his son, Tom, did a sterling job providing teas, coffees and delightful cakes decorated with the Club logo.

The escorted factory tour in the late morning was very popular. It was overbooked! Dan Farrell generously obliged with a second tour at noon.

There were 3 on the Saturday afternoon ride to the Cross Guns at Avoncliffe and 18 on the Sunday ride to Edington.

All in all, considering the threat of rain, it was a good BoA Weekend !
