36 vs 28 spoke rims

    I see that moulton used to use 36 hole rims on their F frames and then moved to 28. Was there a good reason for this. I’m just about to build some 16 1 3/8 rims and would welcome thoughts. Are 28 hole rims ok for touring?

    think it was an economy measure and you might struggle to find 36 hole rims unless you have them already.most bikes seem to have 28 these days, should be fine for touring
