    Hi folks,

I have a question and i would like to know if somebody could help me.
I own a Moulton AM 20-2 with an Campagnolo Athena bicycle gearing system.
I want to change to an Potenza system.
But Athena is an power tourque system and Potenza is an Ultra torque system.

So my question is, do I need another bearing shell for the ultra torque system. If I need a new one, which size do I need? A pressed one or a screwed one?

Perhaps you have some advice for me.

It would be very nice hearing from you.
Thank you very much in advance

Yes, you need to change the shells, you cannot use Powertorque shells with an Ultratorque crank.

I think that all Moulton use British threaded shells

BTW, the feedback I read about the Potenza gearing aren’t so good, if you can afford, choose Chorus (or Record or Super Record).

Actually, you can keep your Athena (or Chorus or Record or Super Record) 5 arms crankset and only change the front+rear derailleur and levers to the post 2015 models. If you have a carbon Athena, you will even save weight by keeping your current crankset.

Forgot to say that some older frame models (I think only models with Hydrolastic rear like NS and Speed, so probably not AM2-20) are incompatible with 4 arms crankset like the latest Shimano Dura-ace, Ultegra and latest Campagnolo Super Record, Record, Chorus, Potenza…

Moulton changed the rear frame pivot design in 2016 or 2017 to make it compatible with the 4 arms crankset.

I have the Campy Potenza groupset on my new Jubilee. I had some issues with it initially but these have been sorted and it now works very well. I have the Moulton 10-32t cassette.
