I suspect that there may be longer be a functioning committee given that the role of chairmanship no longer exists.
The list of “Team Contacts” listed in the Moultoneer provides a helpful indication of who does what.
I would imagine that as members of the team live in various parts of the country it would be difficult to meet on a regular basis and function as a Committee.

There is still a functioning Committee and it is meeting today. I am part of it. Unfortunately, due to family commitments, I can not be at it.
As Clive has observed, there is no list of Committee Members and what they do, on the website. There is a list in The Moultoneer.

Why is there no list on the website? Nothing secretive about it. It just hasn’t been done.
When I stood down from the role of Club Chairman, I took on a role as Website Editor (not Webmaster -that is still Pat Doocey’s role, at which he generously gives his time. He ‘lifts the bonnet’ and fixes technical things when they go awry – as they sometimes do). I have primarily been putting up posts, header pictures and modifying text on various pages as and when necessary, as often as my time allows. I’ve noted your point Clive and I’ll look into it.

As for not having a Chairman, when AM died, the Committee asked Tony Hadland to be the President. His public communication skills at BoA is smooth and welcoming. Couple that with the fact that Robert McCann has actually been the chairman at the past few Committee meetings and does the job very well. With these two capable people in harness, my role as Chairman really became very much of a ‘name only’ role. I felt that I could do more for the Club with the Website Editor role.

    Thanks Aynsley.
I’m pleased that there is still a functioning committee. I wasn’t aware that Robert was now chair.

For the avoidance of doubt, Robert McCann is the chairman of the meeting today and he has been so for several previous meetings.
On p19 of Moultoneer 114 he is titled as ‘Club Sales & Wants Co-ordinator and Chair of the MBC committee meetings’.
At the moment, although this may change as of today’s meeting, the role of Chairman of the Club has been in abeyance.

Apologies Aynsley: I didn’t pick up that Robert was chairing the MBC Committee meetings as stated on page 114.
In the past the Chair of the Committee has been listed under Team contacts but as this hasn’t been listed in the last two editions I assumed that the role had been abolished and perhaps also the Committee.
In the last two editions Robert has been listed under “Sales and Wants Listing” in Team Contacts without reference to his role as Acting Chairman.
    A misunderstanding on my behalf.

    No apology needed Alexander.
You have quite correctly flagged up some areas where the magazine and website could be better co-ordinated. Some thing to take on-board, learn from and to improve.
