I notice that there has been a post sometime ago regarding the fittng of modern dual pivot brakes to an F frame moulton using Tektro R559 which are fine for the front.

The back brake presents a problem using a Tektro caliper. Unless the caliper is raised up on a spacer it cannot function as it is too close to the rear suspension rubber mounting.

    A) I could make a spacer for the Tektro R559 but it would look odd and the caliper would run close to the chain placed high above the rear suspension.
    B) Use an old Weinmann 730 caliper

    C) Take a chance one of the new Time Trail calipers such as the Tektro R725FB or another makers product if I could only get hold of one to try as in the photos it looks like the perfect modern soloution.

    Comments and ideas welcome.

    Hi

I have used 2 dia compe 806 front calipers, No problems with chain clearance, I noticed at BoA others using them as well. http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/dia-compe-806-caliper-brake-57-75-mm-drop-prod23355/ http://instagram.com/p/eQf3Wpl2UK/ , when the bike is parked the chain looks close but once cycling there is ample clearance.
