Inspired by Simon Painter’s article in the Moultoneer I bought the large rack and the large bag. I fitted the rack and then set about fitting the bag fixings using the photos in the article as a guide. The bag I bought (new, but had been hanging around in the shop for a while) had no instructions with it). When I came to fit the front fixing, the QR clip, it wasn’t wide enough to fit on the outside of the two rack stays that fit on the seatpost collar. So then I thought maybe I should have put the fixings on the rack before fitting it to the bike so I took the rack off, fitted the clips, but then of course the rack stays would not fit onto the seatpost collar. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Morning Paul,
You should have 2 metal fittings plus the bag. The larger of the metal bits fits to & remains on the bike like a rack. The the bag attaches to t’other metal bit. Bag & metal bit that it is fixed to,may then be attached/removed from the rack as required. Hope
