I am 182cm tall. Would I fit a TSR?

I live in NZ and am a keen long distance commuter and tourer. I’ve been thinking of buying a TSR30 off ebay but can’t try one in NZ first to see if it would fit. I wonder whether at my height whether the ride would be very upright with the seat much higher than the handlebars. The height of the top of my seat from the middle of the bottom bracket is 77cm if that is any help to anyone who might be able to comment. I also have usually about a 56-7cm top tube when using drop bars like the TSR30.
Can anyone comment on whether there is an upper limit of height at which the TSR is not feasible.
    Much appreciated

I am the same height and my S&S Frezoni big bike has a 56cm top tube and a 120mm stem. The TSR seatpost limit mark is buried 2cm. I had to use a 150mm SS Moulton stem at the top of the steerer to get the handlebars far enough away (and virtually level with the saddle).

Thanks for replying. I take it that you are happy with this set up? I’ve googled the price of these stems and they are rather expensive. Did you buy this one because it was the only one with the requisite geometry or are there cheaper options that do the same job?
    Thanks

It’s not just your height which is important but the length of your arms, thigh length etc. and riding style.
This topic has been discussed in some detail on the Yahoo Moulton Forum.
I suspect some riders about 6 feet tall can be comfortably accommodated by the TSR whilst others may find it cramped.
In your shoes I wouldn’t buy unless I could try.

I’m coming to London in october this year. Where would be the best shop to try and see if I fit a moulton?

Either Bikefix in Conduit Street or Fudges cycle experience Paddington I should think.

SJS do a 150mm ahead stem with a little less rise than Moulton’s stem. If you prefer lower bars than me, it would be a good choice.
