King Alfreds Way

    Thinking of attempting the King Alfreds Way on a TSR30.
    Anyone have any experiences they can share?

    Not yet but it looks like a fantastic route (bought the book). Would love to hear how you get on if you do attempt it.

    The terrain looks quite challenging in some parts and I have walked on bits of the trail that would be tricky on a mountain bike, especially if it is wet. However you can always push those bits.

    What tyres do you have? I believe the TSR30 has caliper brakes so I suppose you will be limited in how wide you can go. I found my Schwalbe Marathon Plus in 47-406 a little more surefooted on trails than my current Marathons at 40-406 (with v brakes).
