    Hi everyone,

I’m doing a rebuild on a midi. Not a full restoration – using more modern parts where I can. One thing I do want to keep are the wheels, as the hub is in good nick. What I’m finding really hard to get info on is the tyre size need. Ideally I want the widest that the forks can take with looks to be 1.75 inches, but I’m buggered if I can work out the right etrto number

The shops I’ve been to advice for have not been able to help. I have purchased some old stock 37-288 s (14x 1 3/8) but they are a little too small to go on the rims.

Can anyone help? I’m no expert. Ideally as wide as possible to help with lack of suspension.

    Thanks!
    Jon

According to the Marvelous Moulton mini book the Midi tyres are 37-298.
    Recommended tyre pressure 55 psi
