Hello there, I recently bought a Moulton Mini Super 4 that I took a liking to in a bicycle charity shop. It works perfectly and it’s a great little bike but the saddle and handlebars are just a little too low to be comfortable. I’d like to fit some longer seat and handlebar posts to rectify this but I’m unsure of the tube sizes. Can anyone help me out with the info? I’ve been unable to find out anywhere online so far. Not sure that I trust my own measurements completely either! Many thanks.

    Hi Rob
The seat tube on the Super 4 is 15 and a quarter inches from the centre of the bottom bracket axle to the top of the tube and 1 and a quarter inch parallet sided.
Head tube is 12 and a half inches long, and 1 and a quarter inches diameter parallel sided. The head tube angle of 70 degrees is parallel with the seat tube.
I obtained this information from my copy of The Marvellous Moulton Mini by Paul Grogan.
I’m no expert by the way, so don’t ask me what parallel sided means although I could guess.
My daughter has a Super 4 which I sometimes ride: a beautiful little bike: a little jewel. It’s a bit small for me at 5 feet nine inches but I can ride it with my legs a bit more bent than I normally ride.
Interestingly it perfectly fits a friend who is 5 feet 10 inches but he has relatively short legs for his height (29 inches) whereas mine are slightly long for my height, at 32 inches (public bone height measurment).

I should have mentioned – what a find in a charity shop! I look in local charity shops but the only bikes I’ve seen are cheap so-called mountain bikes.
With that good fortune keep a look out, you never know, you may eventually pick up a Speedsix!
