Two different times are given for the start of this ride, 7 & 9, hopefully its 9.00. What is the parking situation at the start, is it free on the Bank Holiday ?

You’re right Clive, 07:00 would be an early start.

It’s 9am for a 9.30 start (when I sent through the details the first time I omitted the time and it hasn’t been updated yet).
For parking there are a couple of pay car parks near the main high street, and also there are a couple of roads off Wood Street near the start location that should be free on a bank holiday. I plotted the route the last time we did it. If you zoom in, Manor Road and Hillside Gardens should be okay to park on:

Shame that Katie put paid to the ride for today. Got to say the ride back to Watford was entertaining, well a slog into a headwind. Hopefully next time eh?
