I’ve bought a 1992 APB as a winter gravel bike. The bike is immaculate and hasn’t been ridden since the 90’s.

I have a sized front suspension bearing. Does anyone have any first-hand advice? They seem properly stuck and the bearing is further than the height adjuster deep?

If I were to drill it, can I get replacement bearings?

    Thanks,
    Liam

    Afternoon Liam,
Had a similar problem. The Moulton Bicyle Company emailed me the appropriate
Servicing Instructions. Seemed a simple enough job BUT,as I have the ability to do a job & make 2 more,I sent ’em to the MBC to sort out. Glad I did as the bearing had to be drilled out. Forks, complete with new bearing, returned as good as new.

Replacement parts are available from the MBC,Bradford On Avon.

    Good luck,Peter

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for the advice. I persevered another few hours, I got 4 straightened metal hangers, taped together, down through the steerer tube past the pin, after some serious hammering the bearing started to move.

I got the bearing out, sanded it down so it fits snug, greased it up, works a treat.
