    Hi All,
Just rejoined the MBC after many years absence. Prompted to rejoin after a random google search revealed the Moulton Flyte. Does anyone have any details about it ? It reminded me of the Speedsix I had as a schoolboy, so I was interested in getting one in memory of times past ( Intellectuals, insert Proust reference here). I’d want the old-fashioned Moulton racks and bags too.

Of course, I suppose I could re-live my youth by getting a Mk1 Mini Cooper instead (yeah right, way out of my price range, and my Mk1 was never a Cooper !), but I loved my Speedsix (a heavy bike, though).

Still, I do have an F frame Stowaway at the moment (2 speed hub makes strange noises, though -advice gratefully received), so I haven’t completely lost the Moulton connection.

Any advice on the Flyte gratefully received !

    Regards,
    Martin,

Moulton Flyte stands for F-frame- lightweight.

I would explore all options first, visit The Traditional Cycle Shop in Stratford-on-Avopn and see/ride the range, there is the SST22 which is highly regarded by members

Thanks for the explanation of the Flyte name. I’ll contact the shop you suggested and also have a look at the sst22, though really the reason I was interested in the Flyte was its resemblance to my old speedsix. On the downside, it’s taken over 10 days to work out how to reply to your post !! Tip for newbies (like me) -you have to click on the ‘Join Group’ button, even though you think you’ve already joined…

The Moulton Flyte looks lovely and is doubtless a very fine ride indeed.

Try the various Facebook groups too, a few have a Flyte, some nice ones on Instagram too!
