An ultra-rare almost mythical Moulton Supreme F-frame model appeared briefly for sale on Ebay UK yesterday, described as a prototype and priced at ? £2900.It’s autheticity appeared to be vouched for Moulton Expert Paul Grogan. It was quickly removed from sale! Is this another important piece of Moulton history that has disappeared to the Far East?

The Supreme failed to attract a bid, and has been re-listed William….I put my generous offer in over two years ago, and was not even honoured with a reply…Ken

William – there are also a rare Moulton Automatic and an even rarer Moulton Continental on Ebay which don’t seem to have attracted any bids.

Remembering the recent discussion about what to use Moulton Bicycle Club funds for, surely the club should find out who is the owner of the ultra-rare Moulton SUPREME F-frame model which has appeared fleetingly a couple of times and then purchase it for the MoBiCo/MBC museum. Before this unique part of the Moulton history disappears out of the country like many other rare models, like for example one of the Moulton MARATHON models, have. Surely it not a good thing that Moulton enthusiasts have to travel to Japan to see many of the examples of the rare F-frame special and S models!

Hi! Perhaps Moulton experts like Paul Grogan and Ken Butterfield are the Moultoneers who know most about this ultra-rare model. Apart from maybe the Moulton enthusiast who actually owns this example which sometimes/rarely appears from time to time that is!

When I saw it on Ebay it looked like an ordinary F frame model to me but apparently it has 17 inch alloy rims and alloy components.
In other words nothing outstandingly special apart from its extreme rarity and historical significance in the Moulton pantheon.
