I’m shortly to buy a new TSR 30 for day tours and Sportifs, and would like to know what peddle experienced Moultoneers would recommend please?

I’ve got shimano PD-M324 on all bikes except for the vintage models. You can clip in on one side and use the other as an ordinary pedal when, for example, cycling in heavy traffic, so they are particularly useful for someone who likes riding clipless but perhaps is not over-confident in heavy traffic.
They are a large pedal, quite heavy but comfortable. I find them excellent for day rides and touring but I suspect you would want something smaller and lighter for Sportifs.

I agree with Alex about the PD-M324 from shimano….I use them all the time and wish shimano would make a non clip pedal with two flat sides in the same quality, I would buy some more, definitely my pedal of choice…ken

If you want clipless pedals, unless you know you will be regulalrly using normal shoes too I’d recommend a pair of double sided pedals.

I use Shimano M520 SPD pedals on most of my bikes. Not only have they proved reliable but they’re cheap, pretty light, and the bearings are easily user servicable (unlike the M324!)
