I have a TSR 27 but since new it has had a bad rattle when I go over any rough ground / road. The rattle sounds like plastic so i removed the disc that sits between the cassette and wheel and I have tightened all the mudguard fittings but this still hasn’t stopped it. I can ‘lessen’ the rattle by pedalling. The only thing I can think that’s left is the SRAM Duel Drive hub it’s self but it doesn’t sound like it could be.
Has anybody else come across this?

Rattles and squeaks can be difficult to identify. It took me ages to identify a squeak (it was my cycling shoes).
Sounds like mudguards but you’ve tried that. Perhaps the pedals, lights, bell or racks are loose. I suppose it could be your saddle or your cycling shoes. Does it rattle when you stand on the pedals?

Thanks for the reply, yes it does rattle when I’m stood on the pedals. The rattle definitely seems to come from the rear wheel area and I’ve checked all rack, seat post and other bolts!
    The mystery remains!
