Does anyone know if Moulton Preservation will be having their very popular annual Richmond Park ride any time soon ?

i’m still about. Was starting to feel a bit lonely. I am another one who doesn’t do faceache. I was hoping to still see events posted here but clearly its not to be. Anyone want to buy a 66 F Frame?

Clive, Les and Bev. Michael Woolf has just today given me details about this ride and I’ve posted them on the website and the Calendar.

Many thanks for this. Wednesday August 2nd is now in my calendar. This ride is a very nice way to “catch up” with fellow members.

As Moulton Preservation is independent of The Moulton Bicycle Club, would it be an idea to publish this ride on both of the Mouton Facebook groups to invite those not in the club ?
It may help to get a few new club members.

Clive, indeed a good idea in theory but the problem is our MBC affiliate Cycling UK insurance only allows for 5 guest members per ride so only just about adequate for small MBC gatherings and the reason this MP Ride is organised as an MBC event otherwise no cover at all! Ian

Any leader, ie Michael wouldn’t be covered for any third party claims should there be an issue involving anyone taking part.I’m no expert on such matters but that’s the way we are heading these days regarding organised rides. As for yourself, if I understand things correctly I believe you are covered as a result of being an MBC member and MBC being affiliated to Cycling UK. Ian

Whilst on the subject of MBC Rides perhaps I ought to plug my next Cambridge Ride on 30 July when I have a ride organised heading NW to the St Ives area. Meet at Scotsdales Garden Centre, Horningsea for 10am or at Waterbeach railway station 10.15am, with departure from Kings Cross, London 9.15am to get you there on time. Unlikely to be a problem with an xs of guest riders for this 35 mile or so saunter! Ian
