Roof Rack and Land Rover decals

I’m on the verge of buying a Land Rover APB for a combined car, train and cycle commute and am wondering about what sort of roof rack would suit a small wheeled cycle? I was thinking of a Thule Proride – anyone using one of these successfully with a Moulton.

Also the Land Rover APB could do with new decals and possibly a respray. Does anyone do reproduction decals?

    Thanks

I’m not sure what train service you are looking at, are you intending to separate it, or board as a whole?
The separability on a space frame Moulton is a great feature and is ideal for car boots, caravans, etc – but a crowded commuter train isn’t it natural environment.

If possible try to carry you Moulton inside the car. Its safer, cleaner and easier.

Thanks for your response. That would be my preference but will the Moulton take being separated and joined circa 3 times a week? The journey is – 20 miles in car, rail for three stops and cycle to work – about 10 miles. Eventually I would cut back on rail stops and increase distance cycled.

Yes, of course. The joint assembly is well engineered. The main problem is that once the bike is separated they are two big pieces of bicycle. You need to carry these (ideally bagged)… and your luggage!

From the experience of riders known to me as London commuters – buy a Brompton. The Land Rover APB is an excellent machine, but a train bike it isn’t.
