I want to fit a sealed unit bottom bracket to my 65 standard. I have tried a Shimano un26 113mm, as suggested in a previous forum topic, but this was very stiff & eventually the plastic teeth on the cups became burred over with the pressure of trying to tighten them. It also looked as if it was going to be slightly to long. Any ideas as to which unit to use & what is the correct length to get. Thanks for any help with this.

sjs cycles do a cottered bottom bracket sealed unit that would appear to fit, i ordered one for another bike, doesn’t seem to be any plastic on it, presumably they do the same with the more modern square shaft fit, price is about 18 quid, thanks to iq for informing about this
