I have rebuilt my F-Frame front suspension twice – both times the result has been “play” or slop, of approximately 6-7mm, lifting the bike at the handlebars. I will say I used pretty old Nylon bearings the first time, but the next time they were, at least to the eye, in very good shape, the bottom with very sharp serrations. I haven’t merely pulled it out of the shed and starting riding it either – I have spent probably $200 AUD overhauling the rest of the bike, but it just feels so raggedy, it is ruining my Moulton experience

some people have moved the bottom bearing round onto different splines and cured this, with the top smooth one it may look fine but probably still worn, there are close tolerances and if the bearings are worn that would be the symptons

You can get new serrated front suspension bearings from Moulton Preservation.
