If I want to do a re-run of last years ride then I will need to get my bike out to Lithuania. Anyone any views on whether it would be best to send it on ahead or to simply take it with me?

I’ll be riding it home so will, presumably, only need a disposable box.

Taking it with me would mean I’d just have to re-assemble it at the far end and I’d be ready to ride. On the minus side, getting the boxed up bike and all of the luggage to an airport by public transport might be a bit tricky.

Sending it appeals because it would be collected at my house and I’d just have to get myself and luggage to the airport. I’d need an address to send it too of course.

Any thoughts?
