Recently bought a TSR 8 that had been well stored for many years. My Q is: When applying the front brake and rocking the bike back and forth, there is movement of the leading link of the fork – coming from the ‘Spring ride height’ adjuster that runs up the inside of the fork steerer. Is this normal or would the bearing be worn?

Hi Adrian. How much is the movement? Is it side to side or up and down?

Thanks for the reply. The ride height adjuster can be rocked 2 or 3mm both fore and aft, and side to side, so slight movement noticeable when rocking bike with front brake on, bit like a loose headset. Headset is correctly adjusted. Thoughts?

I have this too on a TSR, side to side when applying the brake, I only noticed because the mudguard moves a few millimetres.
