    Hello,
a question about the drop-outs, they are different?
As I saw in photos the TSR2 has horizontal, the TSR27 has vertical (short) drop-out on the left side, and the TSR8?
Important to know because I plan to buy a Rohloff (by now I have no TSR…).
    The TSR2 hasn’t a braze-ons for the V-brake, so this won’t work.
The other frames are ok I think, both have vertical drop-outs left side? and on the right side?
TSR27 at the derailleurer side has standard drop-out?
How does chain tensioning work with the TSR8?
    Thank you for your answer!

    Hi Werner,
As far as I know they all have sloping dropouts (as in not vertical or horizontal). However, the TSR has changed subtly many times, some have a front mech hanger while others don’t is one that I was aware of when I was looking for my TSR. The spacing is 132.5mm for most of them if it helps.

    Hi Matthew,
thank you for your answer, ‘sloping’ means like a standard dropout on racing bikes, yes, I saw this ona TSR9 …
Thought that they all have the front mech hanger, may be not the TSR2 😉
The spacing of 132,5mm I guess will allow all hubs, 130 as well as 135mm.

    Hi Werner
The dropouts on both my TSRs slope downwards and forwards. If downwards is 6 o’clock and forwards is 9 o’clock, they face about half past seven. My TSR 27 has the front hanger and it was bought in early 2010.

As Alex says, they’re not horizontal or vertical. Maybe less sloping than most sloping dropouts. The front mech hanger isn’t brazed to all bikes (I’m trying to form a picture of which ones have) but if you’re running a Rohloff then I wouldn’t worry about that, I was just trying to illustrate the differences between bikes, they’re a mixed bag.
I hope to find time, one da,y to carry on Paul Grogan’s work and catalogue the changes, not sure I’ll figure it out though!

The early yellow TSR27 bikes had no front mech hanger nor did the earlier TSR8 dual pivot braked machines, My red TSR8 has no front mech hanger but it does have dual pivot brakes and the latest moulton badge and spanner adjusted front suspension (the bit at the top of the forks)
